First launch

Overview

Open the app and you land on the home screen (workspace) — a panel where cards can be arranged freely. No account needed: everything works locally, and signing in only enables multi-device sync.

Three things worth doing first: ① set auto-start ② arrange the home cards the way you like ③ get to know the three main modules.

Set auto-start

  • During setup: tick “Start with Windows” on the Windows installer’s last page.
  • Any time: click ☰ → System settings in the top-right corner, tick “Start work1024 on boot” and click OK.
  • Both places write the same auto-start entry, so they never conflict.

Home cards: move, edit, arrange

The home screen is a canvas — cards can be placed however you like:

  • Move / resize: drag the handle on a card (outside edit mode cards can only be dragged by the handle, to avoid accidental moves). Position and size are remembered automatically.
  • Edit home: right-click on empty space → Edit home to enter edit mode, where you can drag the whole card and a delete entry appears on each card.
  • Card right-click menu: Add card / Edit card / Delete card.
  • Empty-space right-click menu: Add card / Edit home / Restore default layout (clears the current cards and lays out the defaults again — asks for confirmation).

When adding a card, pick a data source: Alarms & schedules / Documents / Quick phrases / Quick tools / Desktop icons / Custom folder. The card editor lets you choose category / group / custom card name / number of items (the name updates automatically with the source, category and group).

Cards can also be sorted: choose the sort field and ascending / descending — alarms by reminder time, documents by modified time, phrases by usage count, and so on.

A quick tour of the three main modules

Alarms & schedules

Create a task with a time, a repeat rule (daily / weekly / monthly / yearly) and an advance reminder; you can also limit a start and end time — for example “every 45 minutes between 9:00 and 18:00 on weekdays, remind me to drink water”.

Besides plain alarms there are countdown days, hourly chime, birthday reminders, scheduled shutdown and scheduled tasks. See Features.

Documents

Organise documents by category / group; the editor supports headings, lists, quotes, code blocks and inline images, and you can paste Markdown to have it converted into formatted content. See Features.

Quick phrases

Store your frequently used text by category / group; click a card to copy it (the card briefly shows “✓ Copied”), then paste it into a chat window or ticket. Cards can be sorted by usage count so the most used ones stay on top. See Features.
